This RV reading light gives you white incandescent light that's bright enough to highlight book or newspaper pages so you won't have to strain your eyes, even on the darkest of nights. And you can angle the light shade away from your sleeping partner and onto your book, allowing you to read a little longer without waking them up.
This reading light is incredibly easy to install either as an upgrade or a direct replacement of your existing light. Using the included screws, bolt the light down onto the ceiling or wall of your RV. The light has a 2-wire design that hooks up to ground (white wire) and power (black wire). Once youre finished, you can then turn the light on and off using the integrated push button on the base.

Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look at the Gustafson RV interior light. Now this is in a nice weathered copper finish. It's gonna add a lot of look as well as some good light to your camper. Now this bullet shaped light is gonna be great for things like reading.
So, as you can tell, you can rotate it and really put the light exactly where you need it to be and that way you can focus on what you're doing. Now, it is incandescent so it gives off a pretty good light with a little bit of warmth, but overall, it's a great look and it adds light where I need it to be. A simple push of the button turns it on and off, and it's a nice sturdy feel. And overall, the construction looks really nice. The finish looks very nice.
And overall just a solid light that is gonna work very well. Now, here we have our previous incandescent bulb that was attached, and this fixture looks good overall, but sometimes you want to update the look of your camper and that's where this is gonna come into play. Also, if you have a damaged one and it's time for a change, this is also gonna be a good choice. This nice weathered copper finish really adds a nice touch to it and it compliments a lot of different aspects in the camper. Whether you have different black appliances or anything, it goes well with everything.
Now, you can see this is mounted horizontally. You're not limited to just that. You can mount it vertically or however you need to. So, whether it be in your dining area, your bathroom, your kitchen space, whatever it may be, this could be a great option for any of your light fixtures. Having pendant lights near your bed a lot of times it's gonna be awesome because when your partner's sleeping they can stay in the dark.
This focus is you wanna read a book, or if you're not quite ready for bed, you can aim this and keep the light directly where you want it to be. Now, when these kinda go out, it's a good maybe excuse to kind of update our lighting in the camper, and a light fixture can really make a big difference. Now, as far as taking these out and swapping them, they're pretty simple. Most of these are gonna just have two screws going into the wood. Now, we wanna be careful not to pull down on the pendant when we're moving them because it can damage this board. So, simply unscrew both of them. And then this should drop down. Now, since we are performing electrical work, we're gonna want to shut off the electrical to the camper so we're not getting zapped while dealing with the electric. You can see we just simply have a positive, these caps sometimes can be a little tricky so just take your time with that. We have our positive and our negative, and they're simply just capped to the red and black wires on the pendant. So, changing this out should be pretty simple. Now, you can sometimes bend these back to make more of a circle. And those will actually come apart there and you can actually reuse these, if you like, or you can actually get new wire nuts, which I recommend. But as you see, they're just simply tied together and then capped, and then that should be it. So, installation here is gonna be pretty simple. We have our power wire and our negative. And so your wires may differentiate from that. Ours are white and red, but you're still gonna have a positive and a negative, so make sure you have the right ones. Now, our black is gonna be our power wire. And we just twist these wires up. And I would be using these twist on wire caps. Now we'll do the same with our white wire. Now we're gonna kick the power on to the camper and test how it works. So, it is working properly. So all that's left to do is to feed our wire caps up along with the rest of our wires. Tuck our little switch in there as well. Now, this does not come with included hardware, so you can reuse the hardware that came on your previous light, or just some simple wood screws will work fine. With our screws in place we're now ready to use our light and we can change these out throughout the camper very quickly and easily. And it's gonna give it a nice look. Incandescent light bulb is not included.The product was what I wanted but was not happy that one of the lights was a return that had been installed and must of been sent back. I was really surprised that they thought it would be ok to send it out again as a new fixture. They are sending me out another fixture at no charge which is appreciated
Lights worked and looked good no more blinding light in my eyes.
Installation was easy and the replacement was exactly the same.
These little lights are great! We ordered four of them for our RV to replace those old brass pull-out wall lights with lampshades from the 80s. A huge improvement. They look wonderful in our coach, and they function beautifully. The light bulbs have been long-lasting, so far. These new lights have served us admirably. Great product at a great price.
My third time to order something from etrailer. I placed the order for two of these lights reading around 10pm one night and the product was shipped the next morning!! There is NO doubt that i will be ordering from etrailer in the future. The reading light fixtures are exactly what we wanted and they look great installed.

These lights are beautiful, functional, and priced right--significantly less expensive than the same product on other sites. The bulbs are brighter than most RV-type bulbs, with significantly more lumens. And these aren't even the LED bulbs--just standard incandescent. The rubbed bronze finish goes well with our vintage oak cabinets--far superior to the old shiny gold brass ones we're replacing. They swivel and tilt for optimal light direction to the desired area. Also, eTrailer customer service has been extremely helpful and courteous. We had ordered 4 lights, but only 3 were in stock; Melanie made sure we were aware of the issue and assured us the backordered item would be shipped soon. We hope to be ordering other items for our motorhome as needs arise.

A year later, and were still so pleased with our lights. Theyre durable, reliable, and pretty to look at. An excellent product at a great price.

I haven’t installed my light yet because the bulb was broken when I received it. Etrailer.com sent me a new bulb the day I called and I’m waiting to receive it. But based on: Quality) it’s really sturdy and well-made; Function) the light pivots easily, but stays in place whatever direction you aim it; Aesthetics) compact, beautiful, and matches the existing light fixture (110) in my vintage cabover bed, I give it 5 stars. I bought this to install in my bed area for a reading light when I’m not plugged in to 110. And I know I’m not supposed to review anything but the product here, but etrailer.com provides EXCELLENT customer service! If anything I’m looking for is available at etrailer.com, I’ll spend my money with them!

easy to install,they are not as bright as the originals. For my purposes, I would prefer a brighter light for reading.
I built a 2018 Dodge Promaster campervan and etrailer was in the top tier of all suppliers to my project. They have a super line of higher-quality products, good pricing, delivery and very helpful staff. The Gustafson 12v LED light is high-quality and provides for a versatile solution for both task and indirect lighting. Through other suppiers, I tried lower-priced options and received non-functioning items with a no-return policy. Ouch! etrailer has my business.
Installed today . Will see how the lights perform over the next year. Made in China which was no surprise. Just wondered why the white wire was a smaller gage than the black wire.
Two weeks ago I installed lights with LED’s and they failed immediately after installing. When it says 12 volts it means absolutely 12 volts and not 12.4 volts or a little more.
If you are in a RV should stay away from LED’s because they are very specific. I did some investigation on the internet after the LED lamps failed and was really surprised. The LED’s should take 13.2 volts if used on an RV.
High quality, good price, excellent customer service and communication. These lights were the PERFECT replacement for our hideous and dated gold sconces/reading lights. Lights came with good instructions and were a breeze to install.

Just what I was looking for. Replaced a pancake light that was over the recliner in my motor home. Wanted a light for reading in the chair and this is perfect. Kind of direct, fully adjustable, and not a spotlight. Weathered copper is same as other lights in the motorhome.
I purchased this reading light for a horse trailer living quarters renovation. The finish and size is perfect and although it hasn't been installed yet, I'm sure I will be pleased.

Excellent product and traveling full time has not loosened the fixture.
LED reading lights need to be warmer. The cool blue has too much glare.
Quality is good, but a simple push button on/off switch controls it. A dimmer would make it a far more suitable item. The light is really bright.
